This class is appropriate for children who are in grades K-2. Students are grouped to balance the class well for optimal learning and fun. A piano or keyboard is required for home practice.

Kids leave their weekly lesson already knowing how to play and practice their songs. Weekly games and activities include developmentally appropriate rhythm, melody, harmonization, improvisation and composition activities to develop aural skills, note-reading, and musicianship.
A piano/keyboard and bench are required for home practice.

Nurture your child's developing creativity, imagination and independence in this delightful, seasonally-themed parent/child class. Music Makers Pre-Piano I: In year one of this two-year sequential program, students ages 4-6 years old begin to develop a solid music foundation. Using the habitats of nature, children learn to express themselves through music and movement, create and play simple ensembles, are introduced to the orchestra and symbolic notation. Parents participate in the last 15 minutes of class.
This class meets for the academic year.

Designed to build music literacy skills and develop symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-expression, Music Makers explore music and cultures from around the world through songs, dances, stories, expressive and structured movement, instrument play and ensemble work. Students are introduced to the piano at the end of the course in the Spring semester.
This class meets for the 2024-2025 academic year. Parents are invited to attend the last 15 minutes of class with child.
