My First Piano Class (Preschool)

My First Piano Class was created just for young learners who love music and have an interest in learning to play the piano. Filled with hands-on fun at the piano, group games and activities, singing, movement, duet time, and instrument play, young aspiring musicians will learn the basics in a positive, encouraging, environment. This class is appropriate for Pre-K students ages 4-5 years. Students are grouped to balance the class well for optimal learning and fun. A piano or keyboard is required for home practice.

My First Piano Class (Grades K-2)

My First Piano Class was created just for young learners who love music and have an interest in learning to play the piano. Piano Classes Kids Love!

Kids LOVE learning to play the piano with other kids. Your child will be playing songs from the very first lessons and learning new songs every week. In our small group classes, students advance quickly with lots of time for skills development, instruction, game based learning, and hands-on fun. Music making with peers creates an energetic, encouraging learning community that builds confidence and skills.

Kids leave their weekly lesson already knowing how to play and practice their songs. Weekly games and activities include developmentally appropriate rhythm, melody, harmonization, improvisation and composition activities to develop aural skills, note-reading, and musicianship.

A piano/keyboard and bench are required for home practice.

Musikgarten Babies

Play musically with your baby! Singing, dancing, movement, bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games increase your baby's curiosity about music, develop listening skills, build a sense of beat and establish the foundation for singing and musical thought. Musikgarten Toddlers

Singing, moving, dancing, listening, patterning, and playing simple instruments will delight toddlers on the move. Rhythm and tonal patterns, drumming, musical games, rhymes and verses develop musical abilities, stimulate cognition, and motor planning skills. Child and parent/caregiver attend together.

Musikgarten Preschool 3s & 4s ( )

Nurture your child's developing creativity, imagination and independence in this delightful, seasonally-themed parent/child class. Singing, chants and rhymes, listening games, patterning, movement, dramatic play, instrument play, sensory exploration, and stories develop music and movement skills, self-expression, and attention.

Musikgarten Music Makers Pre-Piano I 4-6 Years ( )

Music Makers Pre-Piano I: In year one of this two-year sequential program, students ages 4-6 years old begin to develop a solid music foundation. Using the habitats of nature, children learn to express themselves through music and movement, create and play simple ensembles, are introduced to the orchestra and symbolic notation. Parents participate in the last 15 minutes of class.

This class meets for the academic year.

Musikgarten Music Makers Pre-Piano II 5-7 Years

Music Makers Pre-Piano II: Students ages 5-7 years old are welcome to join us for Year 2 of this two-year comprehensive music course. This program was created to instill a love of music in your child and to lay a strong foundation for aural development and preparation for future music study and instrument lessons.

Designed to build music literacy skills and develop symbolic thinking, concentration, memory and self-expression, Music Makers explore music and cultures from around the world through songs, dances, stories, expressive and structured movement, instrument play and ensemble work. Students are introduced to the piano at the end of the course in the Spring semester.

This class meets for the 2024-2025 academic year. Parents are invited to attend the last 15 minutes of class with child.

2024-2025 Private Piano Lessons

Kids LOVE learning to play the piano in these fun lessons. Your child will be playing songs from the very first lessons and learning new songs every week. In their weekly 45-minute lessons, students advance quickly with lots of time for skills development, instruction, game based learning, and hands-on fun.

Kids leave their weekly lesson already knowing how to play and practice their songs. Weekly games and activities include developmentally appropriate rhythm, melody, harmonization, improvisation and composition activities to develop aural skills, note-reading, and musicianship.

A piano/keyboard and bench are required for home practice.
An initial mini-lesson/meet and greet is required for all new students and a parent.
